First Production Batch of 5th Octave Bass Notes

First Production Batch of 5th Octave Bass Notes

The first production batch of Belleplates in the range C3 to F#3 have now been produced and together with our current production make a full Five Chromatic Octaves of Belleplates from C3 through to C8 (29c to 01C in English numbering notation). A total of 61 notes in all.

The photograph below shows all five octave with the notes grouped into the standard 'half octave' sets. This is because, once you have purchased a standard two octave set of handbell type instruments, add-on sets normally come with half an octave above and another half octave below the sized set you start out with.

5 Octaves Belleplates Row

C3 - F#3 | G3 - B3 | C4 - F#4 | G4 - B4 | C5 - F#5 | G5 - B5 | C6 - G6 | G#5 - C7 | C#7 - G7 | G#7 - C8

We have also produced prototypes for notes in the bottom of the sixth octave (G2 to B3) and the seventh octave (C2 to F#2) which are available to special order

Standard ranges for handbell type instruments are:

12 Notes - 1 1/2 octave diatonic C5 to G6 (white notes only with no sharps/flats)

25 Notes - two octaves chromatic G4 to G6

adding the 3rd octave add-on chromatic set of 12 notes - C4 to F#4 and G#6 to C7 brings you up to

37 Notes - three octaves chromatic C4 to C7

adding the fourth octave add-on chromatic set of 12 notes - G3 to B3 and C#7 to G7 brings you up to

49 Notes - four octaves chromatic G3 to G7

adding the fifth octave add-on chromatic set of 12 notes  - C3 to F#3 and G#7 to C8 brings you up to

61 Notes - five octaves chromatic C3 to C7

Music is published for these standard sized sets by many music publishers worldwide.
